香港回歸祖國20周年 the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China
President Xi Jinping inspected the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Garrison in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) at Shek Kong barracks on Friday.
6月30日，國家主席習近平視察了中國人民解放軍駐香港部隊石崗營區。
習近平乘檢閱車依次檢閱20個方隊（review 20 formations）。閱兵場上，3100余名官兵和100多件武器裝備（over 100 pieces of military equipment）整齊列陣，接受了檢閱。
習近平主席29日中午乘專機抵達香港，并在機場發表講話。
"Hong Kong's development has always pulled at my heartstrings," President Xi Jinping said on Thursday, after arriving at the Hong Kong International Airport.
國家主席習近平29日抵達香港國際機場后表示，“香港發展一直牽動著我的心”。
習近平表示，此行主要有三個目的：
一是表達祝福（express best wishes for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region）。熱烈祝賀香港特別行政區成立20年來取得的巨大成就，衷心祝愿香港再創輝煌。
二是體現支持（showcase the support for the HKSAR from the central government）。20年來，中央始終是香港發展的堅強后盾。中央將一如既往支持香港發展經濟、改善民生。
三是謀劃未來（plan the future）。將與香港各界一道，回顧這20年非凡歷程（join people from all walks of life in Hong Kong to review the SAR's extraordinary 20-year journey），總結經驗，展望未來，確保“一國兩制”行穩致遠（to ensure the smooth and long-term successful practice of the "one country, two systems" policy）。
習近平表示，期待著親身感受香港這些年的新變化。相信通過在港的一系列活動，一定會增強我們建設好、發展好香港的信心（through the series of events to be staged in Hong Kong, our determination and confidence in developing and building a better Hong Kong will surely be enhanced）。
29日中午，習近平主席會見了香港特別行政區行政長官梁振英，下午會見了香港特別行政區行政、立法、司法機構負責人（senior figures of the SAR's executive, legislative and judicial bodies）。
7月1日，習近平主席將出席慶祝香港回歸祖國20周年大會（celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China）暨香港特別行政區第五屆政府就職典禮（the inauguration of the HKSAR's fifth-term government）并視察香港。
